The Control Room Management Rule requires operators that have persons meeting the definition of “controllers” to have written procedures covering fatigue and hours of service, among other requirements. The definition of “controller” is very broad and could cover anyone whose job includes monitoring data telemetered back to a computer readout.
The APGA SIF has developed model procedures and fatigue training to help systems comply.
Model CRM training is available in the following PPT files:
- Control Room Management: Managing Fatigue For Employees
- Control Room Management: Managing Fatigue For Supervisors & Gas Controllers
